Hello, I will be converting my car from column shift to floor shift. I have the console and shifter but am wondering if anyone can provide a diagram for the floor shifter linkage to the transmission so I can figure out what parts I need to source to complete the swap.

    Car is a 67 Skylark 2dr with 340/Auto trans.

    Thank you!

    FYI...There are different shifters used.
The first pic is a 3 speed ST400 used on the 400 GS.
The diagram in the next post is the shifter used on the 64-67 cars with the 2 speed ST300 trans.

Great, thanks for the info guys. It appears I have the 2spd ST300 style shifter. Has anyone modified this to work with a 4speed trans? I have the 2004R.

    Thanks.

You can buy a conversion kit from Shiftworks. Uses a cable instead of the stock linkage. Would be your best bet unless you can fabricate something yourself.

the shiftworks is OK, I would see if you can get the original linkage to work first. shiftworks does have the indent plate but I've found you can modify the original pretty easy and convert it to a four speed indent. I you look close at the indent in my pic above. it's a four speed indent plate. look at post 37 & 46 in this link
