This car has come up for sale locally. It looks really nice, but I've never seen an interior like this in a '67 Electra. It does have "Limited" badging, but I wasn't aware a "limited" package was available in '67. Take a look and tell me what you think... is that the power vent window switch in the center of the door panel under the door pull?

"Custom Limited equipment was available for the Style Number 48439 four-door hardtop sedan. Cars so-equipped had Madrid grain or Bavere cloth and Madrid grain vinyl upholstery, with etched Electra 225 emblems; walnut door and instrument panel inserts and dual storage compartements on the front seat backrests. Limited scripts were affixed to the roof sail panels.
This package retailed for US$ 149.27, but the number of cars so equipped was not individually recorded."

Check the photos above, this is an Electra with the Limited package :TU:

That looks like a vacuum powered door lock button to me:

I originally was thinking power locks as well, but there are no cranks or switches for the vent windows? :Do No:

The car is orginally from California and looks pretty nice... I guess I'll have to go check this one out :TU:

It looks like on the darker trim there may be power vent switches. Do you have any pics of the exterior? Looks like you are on your way.....first you buy one....then two.......then you wind up with a dealership's worth!:dollar: :3gears:

Is it possible that they don't open? If the car was equipped with AC maybe the thought was that you don't need them. GM got rid of wind wings on almost all of its cars in 1968 so maybe they just took off the lever in 67 on this car. Just my guess.

My '67 Electra vert has power windows with manual (inside crank) vent windows so I would think they open. The small crank is located just under the vent window on my car. That badge on the darker trim on the door panel is the Electra 225 shield. Here are a couple of pics of the exterior. I would prefer a different color but it looks pretty original, and well optioned with the passenger side mirror and cornering lights... just waiting for the call back :beers2: Also, it has the accessory switch beside the power antenna switch under the dash pad above the radio, and I can't figure out what it's for? On my vert its the top switch.

David: I was thinking of your collection when this came up... hmmmmm, at 19 feet long each, storage space would be a premium!

The additional switch under the door pull is for power vent windows.

    Hey Doug,
If you decide not to move on this car, would you mind sending me the details. It looks really interesting!
    Thanks

I will let you know Harvey. I'm going to see the car tomorrow at noon and the guy is looking for $6000, which I think is pretty high. It's been in BC for about a year and apparently rust free. After I look at it, I'll let you know. Are you sure you have room?? ;)

Thanks Doug. No, I don't have room but this car looked interesting. But at $6,000 I'm not as interested!
    Cheers

I'll let you know how it goes... He seems like an OK guy and the car seems pretty pristine, so instead of negotiating, I'll just tell him what I would pay, and wait and see. I was thinking it would make a good car to cruise to Flint in 2008 :idea2: :Brow:

I'll take some of my own pics when I see the car tomorrow night.

Went to look at this car and I must say it's one of the most highly optioned '67 Electra I've seen. It would be classified as a survivor. Car was originally in Cali but brought to the Vancouver area in 1988. Power vent windows, power door locks, power trunk release, passenger side mirror (non remote), a/c, cruise control, power antenna, rear defog.

Asking price is $6200, but he indicated he'd take $5,500... I'm going to pass. If anyone is interested, PM me and give you a detailed description of the condition.

P.S. Eric was right, switches under the door pulls was for power locks, the power vent window switches were above the driver side power window switches on the arm rest and moved side to side instead of up and down.
