I just installed my Qjet setup on the 4spd convert. and it runs fine, but is making a huge air leak noise up around the passenger side top. Also, the heat riser is warming up nicely, but the choke isn't opening like it should. I am using a 66 coded 425 carburetor, with the correct gasket and heat shield. I haven't taken it out on the road, yet...Any thoughts? Thanks, Dan

Have you plugged all the vacuum ports you're not using? The top left one will make a HUGE vaccum noise if left open.

Thanks for the replies. I couldn't find the tube that connects to the manifold heat tube at the back like the Carters have, so I left it open. I plugged the extra front port. It sounds like it might be from the choke where it meets the carb body. Thanks, Dan

    update...

I put my other '66 Qjet on right before leaving for BG and it fired right up and idled smoothly with no air leak. I have yet to take it out, but it looks like a runner. Dan
