Thanx in advance for anyone who can help out!

No brake lights has led me to the steering column since the pedal mounted brake light switch is performing as expected. My questions come at trying to understand how the brake lights circuit functions. Can anyone shed some light here?

I am guessing that if the turn signals work (as mine do), then they over-ride the brake light circuit if activated at the same time the brakes are applied in order to use the blinker function. Is this correct? One side's brake lights would be on while the other is re-routed through the blinker.

    I think!!!!! :idea2:

So if my blinkers work on both sides, and the running lights work, but the brake lights do not.....then the brake switch power is not getting to, or through, the turn signal switch in the column.

Before I pull my column apart, was hoping someone could fill me in!

You`re on the right track. Check for voltage in and out (from the brake light switch) at the connector at the bottom of the steering column.

    Thanx Tom!

Also, you were right about the '67 dual master cylinder fitting up nicely. I'll be adding that with the combi valve soon!

I am taking a 4dr 66 Wildcat to the scrapyard today. Let me know as soon as possible if you want me to take off the column harness, directional assembly, and brake switch.
