    Hey everyone -

Question about my 66 Skylark with ST-300.

Attached to the back of the throttle bracket is a little microswitch that kicks up the switch pitch to high-stall and makes the car idle smoother. I'm not sure what this parts is called.

The unit appears to have gone bad...

I know this isn't something I'm going to be able to get a NAPA, so I have 2 questions.

    1. Does anyone have a used, working switch for sale?
    2. Has anyone converted to a more modern style microswitch that may be more reliable?

This looks like something that could be fabbed up pretty easily, but I know very little about microswitches to know where to start.

    Thanks!

I think the miroswitch allows the trans go into high stall at idle. Have you unpluged the connector and checked the switch with a meter? I have one I could take off a 66 GS and check. Someone cut the plug wire off. You would have to splice the plug wire back. If you are interested let me know and I can take it off and check it. I was asking $20.00 plus shipping. Thanks Bill.

I'll take it. That's what I'm looking for. Mine seems to be really flaky. Give me your e-mail and I'll get you PayPal.

    Thanks!

    SP switch

Sorry for the delay in getting the switch off. It gets dark before I get home during the week. The switch works, I checked it with a meter. As I said the wire was cut in the center and the clip is gone and you will have to splice yours on. Here is a picture. I will PM you and get your zip for shippng costs Thanks Bill.
