http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1966-Buick-Convertible-/321215283857?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4ac9ec4291#vi-content What's the board opinion on it's worth based on the pics? I'm new to the Buicks, and thought I'd get my feet wet on a "plain-jane" before looking for a GS to tidy up.
I read the ad before I looked at the pictures. I'm glad I did. It's a got a shifter on the column. And, a shifter on the center console. I would been cross-eyed if I had seen the pic before I read the ad... I agree, $2K - $2500.
The rust would scare me off.And the stance looks strange, the rear is way too high.$3K for a driver would be OK but unless you have a fat wallet, don't plan on restoring it.:Brow:
Looks like someone tried to clone it into a skylark / Gran Sport. It has the skylark spear on the hood and the trim piece on the back end. The GS did not have that trim. Also, It appears to be missing the trim pieces around the trunk. Unfortunately, you don't know what you are getting until you start working on it. I would prefer something that hasn't been molested. That being said, I would go no higher than $2,500.
Yeah the rear wheel spacing looks funny. Thanks for the input guys! I'll watch and see what it goes up to, but I think I can find a better base project. I'd really like to find a "nice" '67 Skylark hard top.
