    anyone know of a transmisson Governor conversion chart or converter , I have 3.90 rear gears and dont want the trans. shifting too soon?

    Not sure what you are asking.

    2004-Rs came with several different governor/valve body combinations. Most were in cars with higher gears (numerically lower). The GN's and Turbo Regals came with 3.42's and some of the Monte SS's came with 3.73's. That was as deep as the stock setups came as far as rear ratio.

    Swapping governors isn't a direct exchange proposition on a 200-4R, if you use a GN or Monte governor in combination a non-performance application valve body you will likely never get a WOT shift. If it does happen it will be over 7200 rpm. :)

    It is usually best to stick with the matched governor with the valve body unless you have some experience messing with the 2004-R and have enough patience to do multiple iterations of pan and governor/valve body removal.
    You can do minor lightening of the weights to achieve later shifts but if you go too far the part throttle shifts will get overly high.
