    Need some advice:

Power brake booster isn't working on 66 300cu in stock Skylark.

Long term would like to upgrade to 67 dual/split braking system.

For the short term can I use a 67 booster with stock 66 master cylinder, or do I have to go the complete 67 route and convert the car to the 67 split braking system.

    Thanks in advance.

You can use the 67-72 brake booster on 64-72 "A" body cars. I have done that several times. Am 99.99% certain that the 64-66 master uses the longer push rod in the booster. All you have to do is remove the smaller one from the 67 booster and replace it with the longer one from the 66 one.
Just grab the pushrod, twist and pull forward and it should come out. The 67 one is shorter and may be a little harder to grab hold of, but it will come out.
Just make sure the small "O" ring is in good shape on the one you are using.
Once you decide to switch to the dual master, just change pushrods again and you are good to go.
    Good Luck,
    Scott
