I just purchased a flywheel inspection cover from a The Parts Place on-line supposedly for a 1966 GS with 401 nailhead. What I got definitely ain't it! It doesn't line up with the starter mounting holes, in fact no holes line up. It also looks as if it could be punched out for a right-hand side starter. I think it's for a later BOP-type engine?.

The one I need is for the full circumference GS 4-speed bell housing. I've never seen an actual cover but it must be a simple vertical plate just to cover the exposed lower end of the backside of the flywheel to prevent rocks and debris from entering this area.

Does anyone have one to sell or can anyone steer me to a Buick dealer or good parts distributor that may have one? Merry Christmas!!

That is a very hard item to find, but the plentiful Dynaflow cover can be made to work with the 3 and 4 speed 65-66 GS Skylark bell housing. It looks original, and Brian on this site can convert one over for a modest fee.
