    John,
They are fairly rare and arguably the best carb for the nailhead. I run one on my GS and it makes a big difference over the stock AFB.

i paid 450 for one that was magged and hot tanked...i just couldnt find one, and was happy to pay that...2 weeks later i found a couple in the 250 to 300 range...ive seen them as high as 700...not sure they ever traded for that though...600 seems to be the ebay price...as long as i can remember the 400 dollar range is what they have always been priced at..just depends on how bad a person wants it i guess

I sold one for 400 with a carb core and the air cleaner. That was 4-5 yrs ago.

Original carb is a spreadbore q-jet, and 66 was 1st year used on Buick---all Rivieras exc dual quad; Wildcat GS, and a very few Skylark Gran Sports. The original carbs had problems and many were replaced with service carbs, different part number. Original carbs are rarer than the intakes but not sought after except by numbers-matching fanatics.

So if I have mine cleaned up real nice, 350-400 is a good price?

All depends on if you want to sell it or not. The high priced ones have been on EBay a looooong time.

$250 will sell and is fair. $300 maybe if someone really wants one, possibly more. The market is somewhat limited because in my opinion, most nailhead folks don't consider using the Qjet - it's either an AFB or dual quads for originality, but IMO, the Qjet runs better and stronger than either. If someone is doing a 66 GS, it is a great option and also factory/dealer "correct"

Alright thank you. I’ll evaluate how quality it is after it’s sandblasted and well taken care of. Whether it’s worth $250 or $300, quality will tell

AND IF you apply paint only use a good self-etching primer & let the buyer paint it the color of his choice.

If memory serves me correctly think KB had optimum results with this intake a a 1000 cfm thermoquad .

Any idea what the original Quadrajet carb number was?

Correct. There were also some service replacements such as the 7041304.

  19. Yeah that's what my NOS carburetor is.

Thanks Fred, mine is #7022720 so I guess the original has been reolaced.
