66 GS convertible

    Its baaaaack! Well, almost. I bought this car as a beat-up hulk in 1974 with no power train. I made it into a driver with a V6 and trans. out of a '67 Special. My dad painted it Rustoleum bright red with a brush. My mother drove it occasionally while I was overseas in the Marine Corps (1975-78). I came home with a hot 340 'Cuda and let her keep the old Buick.

    She stopped driving it in 1994 and it has been in their barn until now. My parents are both 85 this year and I thought it was about time to get the old girl back on the road. I've enjoyed collecting all the "stuff" I knew I'd need to do the job. Everyone on the board has been great, thanks so much. I thought you all deserved the story and some "progress" pictures.

    I think it's fantastic that you're bringing her back! Way to go and your progress look great. :beer

    More progress! The paint is on (I hope it will look half as good as Steve's coupe when it's done). I dropped the trim off at the paint shop today. I'm sure there will be a few missing pieces so stay tuned.......
