Need help with a quick fix! My 65 steering pump is removed. Can I run a hose from the high pressure side to the return side on my steering box ? This is just to get the car out locally. Then any one know of a steering pump rebuild shop , Im in Mass. I damaged the new shaft bushing pressing it in ! ....As usual... Thanks ! Jim
Sure,there will be no pressure without the pump. The hose will just prevent you leaking fluid as you turn the wheel, which will be a lot harder without power assist.
