A local guy is selling a 65 Sportwagon, 9 pass, 300-4 brl, posi(ration unknown). Body sounds rough-rusty rear, one roof window cracked, front right corner damaged, black interior. Turns over but hasn't ran in many years. Doors and tailgate are sound. I know wagons are hot stuff in some areas. He wants $600.00---Is it worth that?
i would say it worth it just for a a few of the parts. i bet you could get 300 bucks for that intake.
I would buy it for $600 due to I need some parts for my wagon. It's hard to get rid of 64-65 A-body parts and cars overall currently. There is a very limited audience. Look at this site and see. If you don't buy it an want to pass on the info please pm me with it. Thanks, brian
A friend of mine found it- He owns a salvage yard ( and the 70 GS 455 4 speed in my avatar) He will most likely pick it up and part it out. I'll be listing the parts and pics for him.
should be a 3.23 ratio rear and possibly a 3.55. if the good parts are still on it then 600.00 is a good deal
I believe the most likely rear posi ratio would be 3.08:1. I have a '65 Sportwagon 300 4V posi, and that's what I have; also, that's what the shop manual indicates as the default standard. Would be interested in turn signal lenses if in good shape.
Car is supposed to have the trailer tow package-Maybe deeper gears? Hollander says 65-66 Sportwagon and F85 Olds wagon only? What else might it fit? Should have it home Monday or Tuesday.
