Can anyone inform me of either a new or used 4 or 5 speed manual overdrive transmission that will bolt up to my 65 Sportwagon 300 v-8 ? it has the original 3 speed factory in there now. Thanks D-no o No:
The early Borg-Warner T10 (65-66 GS) has the same dimensions as the 3 speed Saginaw in your '65...It'll bolt right in. Another option would be a modern T-5. They were used in many 80's-90's vehicles like Mustang GT's, Camaros, S10 trucks and Jeeps. a Google search will turn up many sites with the info you need. I'd also like to swap in a T-5 to replace the 3 speed in my '66 Special....just haven't gotten to that project yet!
