Wheelz i'll take all the emblems like that with the tabs busted off that you can find..:bla: the special ones are just like that one.. sweet and simple.
Actually the part you see there is in perfect shape. they were round and didnt have the tabs that the skylark and GS version had. the one in the picture was just on Ebay and a board member bought it for 97.00 I forgot all about the auction and missed out on it. he is going to try to adapt it to a skylark or GS. i am trying to weasel it out of him by tempting him with cash plus other rare 65 parts..:dollar:

you sure thats a special? i have that but its part of a stainless panel that goes from taillight to taillight
Alec my car had the same trim piece that you have. the emblem is integrated with the trim panel. it's part of the special deluxe trim option. the emblem i posted is a special or base model part. I had the body shop fill the holes in my tail panel and i will be installing the special part on my car. I still have the special deluxe trim panel and it's in nice shape. my car also had body side trim but i removed all that as well.
I have the emblem you need but not in the condition your looking for. It has pits but all 3 studs are intact along with the speed nuts on back. I have attached a pic. This emblem came off a car I found in a local salvage yard. If this is something that you can use to get by for the time being let me know. $38 includes shipping.o No: I have a complete 65 special 4 door parts car also. The taillights you could cut your hand open on them if you ran it across them.
