I am replacing everything on the front end of my 65 Skylark and run into a problem that maybe someone here can help me with. The inner tie rods, pn ES681N have he grease fitting in the middle, across from the tapered mounting stud like most normal tie rods. The problem is the old ones have the grease fittings in the end which is what I need for clearance. I have so far tried Moog and TRW with no luck. Any one else run into this? Thanks in advance, Mike

Get some 90 degree grease fittings. Or, sometimes you can get enough clearance to grease if you turn the front wheels all the way to right and left lock.

Ames Performance. They are a Pontiac parts house is where I got mine. I ran into the same issue. The 90 degree fitting would not have cleared on mine. Ames was easy to deal with.

Inner tie rods are supposed to have the grease fittings on the ends while the outer tie rods have the grease fitting on the back side of the tapered stud to make sure the inner rods clear the frame......this applies for 68-77 models and I would assume applies to 65-67 models.

Possible you got the wrong parts in the right boxes or the just the wrong parts??????

I ran into the same thing some years back. I ordered a set from PST.
