65 Skylark/GS bumper core needed

Hi all,

Looking for a solid core to replate. Preferably one that hasn't been done before so it's thick enough. My original was damaged during repair by North Star Plating and they are trying to make good but aren't able to find a core.

Special is not the same as a Skylark,

 

Here is one on eBay. I think you may be the same person on 65GS.com looking for a 65 Skylark front bumper?

Elvin, Here are the pictures. It is kind of dirty but it does not have any rust holes or dents. It does have a small crack in the middle at the top but nothing that can't be fixed. Let me know if you are still interested. Thank you, Les

 

Hello. Im in Flroida and do have a good 65 GS front bumper core...

Wheelz, I have the one off a 65 Skylark pictured above but I am trying to see if Elvin replies by Saturday because I sent the pics Mon and I would think that would be long enough for him to reply. Is the Skylark and GS the same bumper?

The front bumper for a Skylark and a Gran Sport are the same in '65. The front bumper for a Special and a wagon are the same in '65 , this bumper has smaller parking light holes which don't use the grille piece in the front of the light.

Just another point that you may know, is that the rear bumper in both 1964 and 1965 for Special , Skylark and Gran Sport, all body styles except wagons , are the same.

Hi Guys,

So sorry I neglected this post after a few weeks and went with a fix proposed by North Star that I took before Les and Wheelz replied. The fix, unfortunately was a fail so I still need a core. Please let me know if you guys still have either of those. Thanks.
