I just bought a 401 with a T-400 trans out of a good running riviera. The guy wants to put a big caddy motor in it? Anyway is the trans a s/p trans mission? It has a plug on the side with wires running up to the accelerator pedal arm that has some type of silinode on it. It has BS 65 1476 on the tag. Back of motor where trans bolts to the motor B1864705 is cast into the block. It has a outward dimple in the pan. Thanks TP

ALL '65 Rivs came with a switch pitch. In fact '65-'67 Rivs,Wildcats(optional automatic),Electra's had this transmission. All '65-'67 Cadillacs had the switch-pitch. Oldsmobile Tornado '66-'67, all 98's '65-'67,Starfire's '65-'67,Optional on '67 442 withT400. '67 Buick GS 400 with automatic had the switch pitch ,also.
