65 GS ragtop on ebay-caveat emptor

this guy said he will not get a replacement title that costs $12 for this car.
has no proof of ownership,and will not give up the vin#

I just emailed him for the VIN, lets see what he says...

 

From the picture he posted,hard to tell anything.You would think if he wanted to sell it he would give a better discription and more pictures. Tom

"Yes, it is a clean title. Your guess is as good as mine on how many owners. Why do you want the first 7 numbers of the vin? "

4 = Buick
44 = Skylark V8 (1965-67)
67 = 2 Door Convertible
5 = 1965
H = Flint, MI

not a GS

 

one of the bidders had 100% of their activity with this seller,but has been a member for 5 years..uzzled:

 

The GS didn't have it's own model number until 1966.....
So in 1965, both the Skylark V8 and GS had the same model number.

You would think the guy would give more info and at least a pic of the engine....ou:

 

its probably not even his car,but some neighbor's..shot a pic with his cell phone,and ran..once the auction ends,he'll go offer the real owner 500 for it..

 

My brother lives there, I emailed the guy to ask if I could see the car.

 

Here's the response I got tonight:

"If you want to call Dave tomorrow you can see if he will be around to come look at the car before the auction ends. His number is 614-315-1638. He will be able to tell you where we are located better than I will be able to. Thanks."
