Just tuned the Carter on my 65 GS, idles nice, 19 inches of vacuum. Take it out and made a left turn and the engine died out. Would not restart. Gas was leaking out of the passenger side secondary rod area. Waited 10 minutes, it started. Had to nurse it home, would not idle. Float problem? Need to rebuild carb? Thanks!
