4-SPEED and factory air.Would be a good buy at 6,000 and then you would have ton of money into a complete resto.Do you guys think this car would be worth 25,000 done?I'll bet you would have that if not more in it.
It really depends on the quality of the restoration. And demand sets the value. If no one wants it, it's worth nothing. If more than 2 people want it, the sky's the limit!!!!!:bla:
I agree, $6K would be in the ballpark. Could be worth $25K or more, as Joe said, depending on the effort put into the restoration. Would you have that into it? Depends again. I would say that the $25K number can be bumped up against easily - ask me how I know. Mark
$12k is nuts! For $18k one could buy this sweet 4 speed 65 GS. It's been for sale for a few months with no takers.o No: Looks like a good buy. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...8049&ih=005&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=
Walt..I have talked to this NY fello a few times...first he was ADAMENT ABOUT 20K for that red 65 4 speed a/c GS...then he reduced it to 18K. I have left him a few messages and he now tells me he has the car stored for the winter. H'ell break it out when the sun comes out in the spring and list it again. I think that is a gorgeous car and well within the price range. Of course, it would HAVE TO be crawled over GOOD before making any offer... Wheelz, Tampa Bay
So Dennis, you called about this car?I just got off the phone with the guy and he had a call from someone in Tampa.I'am putting 2&2 together and comming up with Wheelz. He seems to think its worth every bit of 12,000 cause when its done it's a 60,000.00 car.He was told this by a local collector in the area.Hasn't run in years and he don't even have keys for it.
yip. That was I. Next year when he still has this car, I'll make an offer around half of what he is asking now. Wheelz, Tamp aBay
You guys are just kill'in me with this crap!Leads here leads there.Well it took some time but i bought it.Details to follow. This was a Jason purchase if you know what i mean.:bla:
This car was listed on the NV.Craigslist for 12,000 if you guys remember. It's a Calif. Black Plate car and the plates are comming to Ohio with it.The car doesn't have the original motor from what i can gather fromthe seller. It has a LX coded 425 with the dual quad set up.Factory 4-speed A/C car.The car needs work as you can see from the pictures but it is solid, solid solid.
Ok Tom....nice to see you grabbed it! I'm sure you'll share more details as the resto work begins, huh? :beer Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Wow Tom , those are the smallest pictures I've ever seen! Tha car sounds great though. What color combo is it? Ted :beer :beer
Ted,I know the pictures are tiny but they are the ones he emailed me and i did the best i could to move them so i could post.Better ones to come.I believe the car to be T code Champagne Mist top and bottom with black interior. The trim tag picture i recieved was terrible. It does have the storage console and consolette with a Olds Tach just sitting in it.The car has been sitting in his building for the last 18 years.Motor turns but he doesn't know if it runs due to he never had the ignition key.Wouldn't you think to just switch out the whole cylinder or go to a Lock Smith and have a key cut?I couldn't own something like this very long without getting it running.Like maybe the day it's delivered!
