I had put in a 3.90 Richmond gear and Auburn posi into my 65 Skylark Gran Sport ( automatic ) . Then found out it was a little to much gear . I'm putting in either a 3.55 or 3.23 to bring it down a bit . The 3.90 gear has less than 300 miles on it . Anyone interested in the 3.90 ? Will be doing this as soon as it warms up a bit . George--- I was considering 3:73 in my 72/455 but ended up with a 3:42--and REAL glad I did. With 3:42 I am cruising at almost 3grand@70 mph--I cant even imagine what 3:90 would be like. Pete
Gears That is an 8.2" rear end, right? I have a 67 with Aburn posi and 3.36 gears. Since I am seriously thinking of puting a 200 AOD I may be interested in a trade.
