65 Gran Sport 4 speed

    Does anyone know what 4 speed trans and shifter was used in the 65 Gran Sport,been told it was a Borg Warner,but maybe a muncie m-20 also,if anyone knows for sure I would appreciate the info.

    It was a close-ratio Borg-Warner T-10 in 1965 and 1966 :TU:
     
  3. to add to walts info. the transmission is unique to the GS. it has special high nickle content gears and has a special front bearing retainer. the 3 speeds found in 65-66 GS cars was a ford toploader. the standard gear for a manual trans equipped 65-66 GS was a 3.36 open style carrier. there were optional ratios and of course limited slip was available as well.
