Found one for sale, I understand it may be missing a couple body mounts if i was to swap it for my 65 skylark 2 door hardtop . any other issues? Mine is bent and I feel this may be a cheaper route to go possibly. The body is almost ready to come off this frame anyways.

I recall that the rear section of the Chevelle frame is shorter in trunk area then the Buick frame.

What's so bad about your frame. Twisted, rotted, bent out of shape too far???? It could actually cost less to get it repaired/straightened.
What comes with the replacement is the "while I'm at it" comes into play & before you know it ALL the brake & fuel lines get replaced. Now blasting & powder coating & before you know it before you even started turning a wrench on YOUR frame a couple years have passed.
I'm sure MANY can relate to this.
Give your opinions with experience & knowledge in these proceedings.

I have a Chevelle frame under my 70'.
Looks exactly the same as the Buick frame which originated under it , sans the soft spots and bent front horns.
    Not familiar with anything earlier.
I replaced the frame, did a frame off restomod by myself with the help of a good friend, thanks Steve! 5 years later , up and running. Jim

I should have continued this in a previous I have on my frame. The car was in a wreck. I know it’s out of shape. The quotes I’m getting is $450 just to get my frame on the rack. Not to make any adjustments.

I can weld no problem I found a frame supposedly a 65 chevelle SS with a cracked rear shock mount (that’s no issue for me. Easy repair) for 200 bucks. I understand they are shorter in the trunk. I can fix that. A mini tub is also an option.

There is a yard local to me selling skylark frames for 1,000 bucks.

I found a 64 skylark frame is really good condition delivered to me for 300 bucks. I hate to abandon my current frame because I do have some work I have put into it. but the costs im getting to straighten my original I just cant justify that.
