'65 300 alternator upgrade

    Not having good luck with the current externally regulated alt. What's a good way to go? I'm leaning towards an SI12, so long as you guys help me with the wiring changes. CS-series pieces seem like a huge jump in price; someone convince me of the benefits.

    There's not much in the way of electrical demands: 300-4V, points for now, hot air choke, non-air, aftermarket stereo (no amp)
