Need help. Just swapped a 3.23 posi pumpkin out of a 65 Riv into my 64 Wildcat and now I can not get the axles back in. Personally I thought the third member was out of a 63, but what do I know. Is there an axle spline difference? Or am I missing something here, do I need a BFH to put them back?
    Thanks

    wich axles do you use?
you can't use the axles from the riv they are about an inch to short.
the pumpkin i have the axles slided just right in,without a hammer

Thanks for the quick reply. I am using the axles out of my Wildcat. The only thing I did was have new bearings pressed onto the axles. Makes me wonder if they switched axles or something stupid??!!??

pull the pumpkin and try it out off the car, then you can see if the axle fits or not

Idled. It does. Problem is I powder coated the brake backing plates and the axle was hanging upon the flange Ground off the powder coat and ShaZam! It fits. DUH!:spank:

I am my own worst enemy.

Thanks for the vote of confidence
