https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/702708336947026 I have no idea how original, rare or really much about 64 wildcats... that said, I like it!
I see it has a Buick emblem and shift pattern on it and is that an arm rest on the console? The car needs work and that’s a hefty price to pay but I guess to the right buyer...I like the body style of that big Buick... yours is cool also
40k... Super cool car for sure. Forty K cool?.. That kind of cash and ZERO pics under the hood. Selling factory dual quad but zero pics under the hood?? Needs door panels even? Repaint to sell anyone?...
I bought the best one of those “ironing board” consoles a guy “best I had seen in 20 years of hunting” I still have it boxed up so it doesn’t get scratched, but if I remember correct that was for the 1964-65 Skylark & Specials . Whatever the combo of interior parts & who knows what’s under the hood & not at even a “needs resto” convertible I hope he like the car a Lot because he is going to have it for a long time at 40k. Don’t get me wrong I love a dual quad,4-speed big car but I sucked them up regularly back in the day with my 70 Hi-Compression 350 & the production 4 speed shifter for 64 was much cooler IMHO. Cool still but 40k? I wouldn’t pay 20k. Mine was 4K all in plus with NOS parts but to each his own, good luck
This would be a cool car but IMHO for 40,000 asking and no dual quad pic? fail. Color is among the least desirable to my eye. Also the shifter console is a question for me. There is a long console with the horseshoe shifter, small console with a more square and flat top, now this which looks like my 65. Fritz- one of my first eBay purchases was an ironing board console- red and seemed near perfect. remember the early auctions where people actually bid? and paid a lot
Yes Sir Ted, I remember those auctions unfortunately lol Most of my stuff I “ can’t afford to sell “ I paid so much lol Got more pics from seller. Engine compartment is filthy (might be why no pictures, trunk looks solid). Still way overpriced in my opinion.
That trunk reminds me of every car I ever saw that was sandblasted. Vacuum the trunk spotless slam the trunklid & drive around a while, open the trunk and PRESTO more darn sand from inside trunk lid and everywhere else it stays forever. That looks like some kinda dealer flipper key ring tag a lil bit too. Blast it,squirt it & touch nothing else & try & score big. He is gonna be finding out how “fun” it is selling a big Buick 4 speed & quads regardless for 40k. That would buy a niiiiice big block A-body GS
See the tach someone hacked into the dash gauge pod to right of steering wheel and another hole cut in the dash below that for an aftermarket gauge? The picture of my old red car has the incorrect steering wheel, looks like the car for sale has correct steering wheel. Guessing they pulled the door panels for sand blasting for good coverage but stopped there?
I hear ya Adam! One I did a frame on blast on when I was a youngster I don’t think I ever got all the sand out of! Masked it off very well but still got everywhere.Slam anything and it rained sand, cruising with windows down getting grit flying in your eyes, radio controls all gritty and then the fun day I flip the non air car vent on high and I got sand blasted! Lol Literally had to pull over to clear my eyes
Hi, I thought the square flat die-cast console was 63, as the Skylarks/Specials in 64 looked like that, also used in early 65 A-bodies, the ones in the full-size cars are different, base is taller as well as longer stick. Neat find, but 40 grand it will be there forever Regards,
