Got my car from the blaster to the painter to get ready for paint. The body turned out to be cleaner than expected. Most of the car is already in epoxy primer. The painter said 2 to 3 weeks to have my baby back home and then I get to put the puzzle back together and tear up the pavement again. Updates to follow....
What I did was got a nice flat stock of steel cut it a little bigger than the box, and put it in the corner with some spacers under it so it is sitting flat, then I put the battery box on it. Problem is there is no flat spots in the corner!! If you like I can snap a pic tomorrow.
The body shell is finally in color. Should have it back on Thursday to start some interior work.
Looks nice! How busy is your painter? I have a 78 VW Vert standing between me and my GS (Long story, but this time she is right) I need it painted so I can put it together over the winter. It's a rolling shell, major metal is done (actually there wasn't much) all I need to do is fit the rear quarters and then get it in paint. So can you share your painter? Everyone I find is either over the top price wize or I get maybe next Aprilou: Thanks, Rich
