i just bought a year/part # correct dual carb and intake setup.... i want to put it on my wildcat convert.. it is a 401 ..my question is will it work and what other things need to be changed or tuned diff...any other tips appre.... thanks todd
Congrats! Was it the one that just sold on ebait?? That was a pretty nice looking unit. For starters, the throttle linkage is a bit different so I hope it was included in what you purchased. I'm not sure how much of it is available in reproduction since I've never had to look for it. The transmission kickdown bracket will need to be changed out since the one you'll need is specific to the 2x4 manifold. There is a guy that reproduces them here; http://www.ironhunter.net/ Also, the 2x4 distributor has a different advance curve. Would be a good excuse to send it to the ignition man for a re-working.
yes it was from ebay...it also has the orig...linkage...but may be missing the fuel lines...i was hoping someone could post a pic of one installed w/o air cleaner from the choke side showing the correct choke and pcv routing...thanks todd
I don't have one that I can post right now but I know where there is one. Scroll halfway down this thread and look at the picture gun-G posted; http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.p...ge=25&highlight=show your engine&pagenumber=2
