Hi guys, My chrome bases were pretty scratched and dull, so I ordered new ones. Of course they were the short style and will not work. So I got looking at mine and I noticed that they are reversible and the undersides were almost perfect! So all I had to do was swap the left and right sides, so the shiney side was up. They look terrific! The left and right base are identical, so there is only one part to be reproduced. There must be some demand for these long bases...? Some Olds and Pontiacs also used the long ones, so I'm told? Maybe I'll shoot an e-mail to Year One or Postons. I'm sure they would sell thousands of these. o No: Brian
