64-65 Skylark Rally Rim Pictures

Hey all. I'd like to put dog dish caps on my 64 and was wondering if I can get a few people to post up close pictures of their Ralley Wheels.

Now are they Buick specific or just a plain steel wheel??

the 64-65 skylarks used wheel disks or hubcaps. no rallye rims until 1967.

 

I'm not sure what you mean by "no ralleye rims untill 1967".
If you mean the "ss" style painted wheels, then you are correct. I have only seen a couple of sets of the tri-shield center caps in almost 20 years.

As for the "mag" style , '65 was the first year and are totally different than later '65 and the '66 wheel. The '67 is a little diffeerent again. These are all 14" wheels. I think '70 is the first year for 15" . Don't remember the first year for the offset change due to disc brakes.

Dog dish hubcaps were put on plain steel wheels,usually painted black or the color of the body.

Anyone else out there have this set up?

 

That car is currently packing a 455, Muncie 3 speed manual trans and a 3.42 posi rear. it was a complete frame off project.

 

All the glass back in? Have you been driving it?

Dog dishes I got from EvilBay.

Rims I don't have yet but it looks like a plain old set of steel rims will fit the bill.
