Will the front backing plates and brake assemblies from 63 full size Buick fit a 61 full size Buick? I went to disc brakes and want to donate my parts to a friend that has a 61 since all the parts are new and backing plates are powder coated. Thanks
1961 FULL SIZE BUICKS -- had two distinct wheel cylinder pattern -- one that has offset bolt pattern for the mounting of the wheel cylinders -- ad if it has that set up --then -- the wheel cylinders, brake shoes, and drums are ALL the SAME -- such that the backing plates should match up exactly..... If however, it is the 1961 design with straight across bolt pattern -- they will not -- of course, that isn't to say that you can't drill holes to accept the other design wheel cylinder.....
