I`m building my -63 Skylark 2d ht into a low-budget "roadcar". Wonder if anyone has any experience with this front-suspension; if parts are awayable/still made and do they work well?
My -63 is getting a 360hp CSB350/TH350, so it needs new eneginebrackets anyway.
My first thought was to swap it for a -84 Malibu-susp. with discs and all, but it showed to be about two inches too wide and with the steering-link ahead of the susp. Will a Nova-susp fit?

    63 Skylark Front Suspension

Front end parts are available from Cars Inc, Kantor, Buick World and others. According to an article in Compact Buick Newsletter years ago, lower "A" arms are prone to cracking under extreme stress conditions. I would assume if you are replacing the light weight aluminum V-8 with a much heavier Chev it would certainly place more stress on stock suspension. Don't know what other front ends would bolt in, if any, but some of the oldtimers with these cars are: Bruce Steinhaus - phone (810) 233-3961; Dan Lagru - (810) 798-2491. They may have info on conversions.
