Im curious if anyone on here has done an all wheel disc brake swap on a First gen Riv. I'm looking at different conversion kits and wondering what would be the best way to go. Open to any advice or suggestions.

I know Scarebird makes conversion brackets for the front. For the rear I think you are on your own.

Scarebird makes them for the rear too but you gotta turn the axle flange down. I was just curious of what else everyone was running.

Converting the rear drums to disc won't get you much improvement in stopping power. 70-90% of the braking is always done by the front wheels. Your rear wheels will get dirty faster...that'll be the most noticeable change.

I converted my front drums to a custom 2-piston solution for improved stopping power and easier maintenance. I haven't heard of any disc conversion setup for a 1st-generation Riviera.

I know the fronts do the most work, i plan on getting 17 inch coy wheels and want everything to match. Wilwood just released a front brake kit. http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/Br...year=1963&make=Buick&model=Riviera&option=All I was just curious if anyone did a rear set up.
