Has anyone put a factory dual quad on a 63 or earlier, dynaflow equipped car? I'm guessing that the kickdown is the only real issue that may require some nifty fabrication. I don't know if a 64 or 65 rear carb would work better also or if it really wouldn't matter.

    thanks

    I put...

I put a 65 manifold on my 62 buick 401 (+.o4o) it was a 2x4. BUT the best response and gas mileage was 2-2bbls on the 2x4 manifold. BUT you must pitch the dynasaur tranny. I went for a 65 t400 3 speed. It worked so good, I now rebuild them and sell them on Ebay. Right now, if you go to ebay and type in the word "nailhead" you will get both the trannys i have listed right now. All you need is a flexplate, and driveline. (or just the t-400 yoke) you can use your dynaflow crossmember, just relocate it. then you will get about 25 mpg and lots of oomph!! Never lost a race either.. (poor chebbies and Turds)
