Hi, Happy I found this page while surfing, need a lot of help with recommendations, hopefully this is the right place, I'm no stranger to restoration of cars, presently have and working on 1953 Hudson Hornet and recently sold a great little 1961 Olds Cutlass F-85, missed it so much I just purchased a 62 Skylark.

I'm in the process of restoring a '62 Buick Skylark 2 dr HT (4347) car is pretty straight, however it's burning oil and I want to have the engine rebuilt, contacted remanufactured@comcast.net and intend to call D& D Fabrications on Monday...I live in Las Vegas and may find good machine shop locally, but still would need a engine kit, does anybody know of good suppliers?

I'll probably have the transmission rebuilt locally (have a good old timer who knows GM well)...Car has a cracked steering wheel and dash board; checked in Hemming's, but if anybody knows a better reliable source, I'd like to learn?

Want to change the PS Steering hoses, which should be easy to do locally...Car has 4 bolt pattern on wheels, I'd like to change and use mag wheels, any of you have experience with mag wheels that would fit and what size tires did you use? Car has PB and A/C that I'll have to go through and after all mechanical work completed, I intent to change color from Metallic Rose to a light yellow and white and then reupholster interior. As you can see I have a major undertaking and I'll appreciate all the help and recommendations received.

Thanks for any helpful recommendations in advance.

    Ray
