62 lesabre Generator issues

    I am in the middle of redoing the 401 engine compartment in my 62 lesabre and noticed the ear on my generator bracket is broke in half. So i ordered one online from summit. It is a rebuilt one but the top mount ear is clocked differently than original and won’t mount to top bracket. Is there a different bracket to use or what can I use to replace the generator?

    I've never messed with a generator, but it seems to me you should be able to partially dissasemble and "re-clock" it appropriately.. Certainly done with Alternators all the time.

    They can't be reclocked. One position only.

    Yup, no reclock on that ,you need the correct clocked end for your cars mounting position!
