6 volt or 12 volt battery??

    when i get a new batter can i use a 12 volt or do i have to use a 6 volt?

    You should have a 12 volt battery in the car now. Not sure the last time they used a 6 volt system, but it was awhile ago,

    The last Buick to use a 6 volt battery was the 1953 Special. It was also the last straight eight.
