Now that looks pretty Good. :TU:

Are you sure it came from the new GM:laugh: Or did the Ford design team do this for them.

Looks really great. It's to bad that the finalized version will look a whole lot more "generic jellybean" then the concept.
GM doesn't have the nuts to build something that stylish.

I agree Mike. Prototypes are always what they "wish" they had the balls to build. The end product won't even be a faint resemblance of this I bet.

I like the front better than the rear. Thefirst glimpse of the rear reminded me of an MR2.

I think that looks really nice, but just because it looks like the '68camaro. that's what they need to do so cars can look stylish again, give them that classic look

OH MY GOD!!!!!! That look great. Unfortunately, it will probably never look that good. But we can always hope..

They need to modernize a 68/69 rear panel for it.
But then again this is GM, They "WON"T" build it:ball:

Probably just a styling exercise...... GM HAS to let the designers/ stylists have alittle fun to go along with all of that hum drum garbage that they turn out otherwise. Personally, I like the looks of the RS flavored models shown in these photos- something about that lower bumper on the exposed headlight models just isn't working for me. I would guess that the success of the new and upcoming restyled retro Mustangs in time may influence GM to do something along these lines, hopefully? That SSR truck just doesn't get my blood boiling and is really a low volume niche market with the retractable roof, etc. I'll be content to hold on to what I've got. The only other thing I like that they did recently was the 94-96 Impalla SS with the LT1. Thanks for posting these!

Of course they will build it... as a prototype car. And then we'll get the restyled version that looks like a grand am.

The front reminds me of a 1st Gen Camaro.

The back reminds me of one of those 60's/early 70's foreign 2-seaters. Help me out here, am I thinking of a spyder or something?

Hey, i might be a big buick fan, but I never seen anything that cool, especially for a chevy, for a long time. I wouldnt mind having that. And like some of you said, that's just a prototype, not the real one. :af: They need to build the one in the pics!

    NJBuickRacer I'd rather be racing...

GM will probably price it out of reach if they build it at all, when I bought my '01 vette a loaded Camaro was only 1500 or so less than what I got the vette for fully optioned:Do No: I do wonder how the Buick stylists would do with a retro Skylark GS concept:Brow: Then again, GM would probably just wait to build a retro chevelle and let Buick modify only the hood:af:

If they would actually build something close to this, they'd sell a ton of them. Unfortunately, it was designed by a teenager, and what do they know about cars? Oh wait, that's who they like to sell these cars to. Maybe someone at GM could get their head out of their ass, swallow their pride, and get those plans to their design department for a feasability study and actually put something like that on the road.

Ford did it with the new Mustang. I'd really consider one if I didn't need a truck. I think that Mustang looks awsome. This is just the kind of thing that Chevy could use to boost it's image.

I'd say :TU: :TU: :TU: to Popular Hot Rodding for doing their best to turn a grass-roots effort into a reality!!!:bglasses: :beer

They've made sure that the 'powers that be' at GM have IN THEIR HANDS pictures of this 5th Gen concept and a large stack of emails in favor of building it!! Looks like the young guy that did all these great renditions, really has their attention!!!:Smarty: :bglasses: :TU:

It amazes me the level of talent of designers like this!!

Ford and Mopar designers have had their moment in the spotlight....it's high time GM designers hit one 'out of the park'!!!:TU: :bglasses:

Hey does anybody know of a GM email address where we can support the push for a new camaro?

Yeah, but they had the nuts to build that stupid looking Aztek. You can throw the Avalanche in there for good measure.
