I already have the engine out of mine, but I asked about engine removal before I did it as well because I couldnt find anything about it in the workshop manual and especially if front clip removal was required and how to remove it (The workshop manual for my 60 plymouth details this)

So, does anyone know if the entire front clip comes off or if you have to take it off in bits?

I've pulled plenty of engines on '56-'58's. All I do is remove the hood & radiator.

…. yeah just the radiator and center bar removed, we have too. Bu now days our comfort limit for fighting and struggling over the years dealing with crap has morphed into a much lower threshold bar level then back in the day so now we just remove all the front components and get them out of the way and have at it and you can pull it straight out. This then gives you total access to walk right up to to the front and easily clean up and detail the engine bay frame area and firewall.
