I'm glad you posted this. I couldn't find this guys phone number. He owes me some parts from a prior deal. I thought he dropped off the planet or something.
I'm picking up the Super tomorrow. The Limited is too picked over and rusty. All the glass in the Super is nice, supposedly...so no more worries about where I'm getting glass. I was really hoping to make this trip on a Saturday, since I know it will be a fiasco. I just hope I don't run into any issues with the Yukon on the way. This will be its maiden voyage towing. Made sure all wiring and lights worked this evening....ready to go!
Dragged home a very rusty Super today...the Yukon performed well, thankfully. The front clip was virtually rusted away, so it was left there, but I had to deal away the front bumper, which was in good shape. Glass and doors are in good shape...there are a few pieces of stainless and some other trinkets I will pull off. I will have the drums as well, but I think the majority of it will go to car heaven as soon as I am done picking it.
Wow, that is a lot of Super. With the Yukon in the picture it gives you a good perspective. Any extra drivetrain parts or just the rolling shell with interior?
That's pretty much all it is. No drivetrain with the exception of the rear end. The frame is really rotten. I've never seen one this bad.
Yes, and another 9" just got layered on it overnight. I spent 2 hours digging it out, along with the rest of the driveway.
