Attached are some updated pictures of my 57 Special project. I have been working slowly on this for the last three years. I put the 57 body on a 92 Caprice cop car chassis. Then the fun started..... oddly enough , you can't just buy parts for a 57' special with a 455 and turbo 400 on a Chevy frame ?? Everything has to be measured/ engineered to fit ?? Engine was built by friend and fellow member Bubba Crouch. 455 0.38 over TA Street eliminator heads,TA 413CAM, dual 600 Holley carbs for that old school look,1.60 roller rockers. Stock 8.5 rear with 3.42 posi. Looking to fire up and run in the motor next week ? Hope to have loads of fun with this both on street and strip.
