I replaced my 2 barrel carb with a 800 cfm quadrajet and ta intake. he throttle return bracket and srping are at the back of the engine but when i attach the spring to the carb it holds the throttle wide open instead of closing it, is there a different bracket location for the 4 brls or do I have someting screwed up?
    Thanks for any help

Mike, originally there was a small bracket with a small hook that bolted to the intake on the driver's side out in front of the carb.

I think you have the bracket in the wrong place...put it up front in one of the front intake bolt holes.:Do No:

Thanks, I figured the bracket was in the wrong place but I thought maybe I was hooking the spring up wrong. Ill move that bracket and get the car back on the road.

You can actually run the bracket in the back of the engine. It is originally in front tho. For some reason (i forgot exactly why) I have mine bolted right under the throttle cable bracket. You just need to make sure it is attached to the bottom part of the throttle linkage if it is setup like this...
