What I have is a 462 that I built for my rat rod. Its a very nice motor with very little usage. While my little truck doesnt have an odometer in it, my guess is that it very easily has LESS than 2,000 miles on it! The only reason that I'm selling it is because I've decided to build a 8-71 blown 462 for my rat rod and most of the parts on this current engine wont work with this new buildup so, if I can just sell it as a whole, I might be better off.
While this motor is a very nice motor, it wasnt built for continuous high RPM, nitrous, or supercharger usage. So if you might be interested in it, be aware of that. I built it to make decent power in my application and be able to drive it anywhere on premium pump gas. It has been an awesome motor and runs extremely well. Never dynoed but I would think that it makes around 500 hp. It sounds great and draws a crowd where ever I go! I have an old video of it on You tube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6S4Gf9bvM0c&feature=plcp to where you can hear it run/idle. Also, if you go to Face book page at JimmyJimbo61@yahoo.com and look under my Model T album photo's, the engine buildup photo's can be viewed.

    1. 1970 block with all the oiling modifications and zero decked. ARP bolts throughout and TA dual groove/dual feed cam bearings installed.
    2. Stock 1970 timing cover with all the oiling mods and TA booster plate, oil pump cover and gears installed.
    3. TA 6 quart oil pan and pickup
    4. Edelbrock Performer Stage 1 heads -non ported with 1.52 comp rockers (wanted to keep my lift low), TA orange crush head gaskets
    5. Custom ground hyd. cam from TA/ Schneider - 234*/ 252* @ .050", .478" /.478" (with the 1.52 rockeres), 113 LS + 4* for a 109* CL
    6. TA damper with Stock .010/.010 crank and stock rods with ARP bolts - BALANCED
    7. TA Hyperutectic (cast) 25cc pistons with cast iron rings
    8. Compression ratio is 10.59 to 1 (runs well with Premium gasoline)
    9. Offenhauser 2 x 4 intake with 450 cfm holleys (under carbed. Would run even better if it had 2 750's on it!!!)
    10. MSD distributor set up with 18* bushing and MSD coil, NGK plugs
    11. Cloyes true double roller timing chain

Note: I've probably forgotten something so....

NOTE: Headers, custom made billet 1 groove crank and water pump pulleys, alternator and brackets DO NOT go with the engine. You must supply your own.

I have no idea as to how much I have invested in this buildup as I've never added up the receipts, but I would guess in the $6 to $7,000.00 range. All parts used were brand new when installed. It was built right (for my application) and should last for quite a while if its properly taken care of.
$6,000.00 OBO Come listen to it run, I'll take ya for a ride, we can pull it out and you can take it home!

Per the V8 Board rules in order to place an ad you must post an asking price.

Not that the price is out of line but more that my money tree is going into hibernation for the winter and only has a few leaves :dollar: left on it to be picked. I'm out for now.

Ryan, I've not made up my mind just yet. This blower buildup is becoming astronomical for my personal budget. I have several options and dont know which option that I'm going to take at this point. Dont know if I should just reuse them (as well as other items on my motor) since they're practically brand new, or sell just them or try to sell the whole enchilada... If I decide to sell the Eddy heads, I'll let ya know. But if I do sell them, it'll be later this winter. I'm no where close to start tearing the motor apart just yet. The Hampton blower is on its way and the custom camshaft has been ordered so...

    Thanks, Jim

Ok Jim, thanks for the update. If you sell them I am still interested.
