462 build, help with static and dynamic compression

AM&P carries the longer Pontaic H Beam rod already machined to Buick specs for $600.
Their rod is .020" longer than stock Buick which will decrease the amount of machining off the block deck.
I need to thank Tim for that info.

Did you get a chance to cc the pistons and also check to see how far they sit in the hole?

no....I ended up driving all over God's green earth to pick up a core support for my 69 Skylark vert, and a set of 71 heads. So, I had no time to go to the machine shop. I am hoping to get it done todayray:. I will be sure to post results when I get er done:TU:

 

Those pistons just went on my "stuff I will never buy list".
