Ok I'm sure that this has been asked before, but I am thinking of changing the engine in my 71 GS 350 to a stock 10:1 455 and still using the freshly rebuilt th350 trans. I believe the trans should bolt right up - is this correct? Is there any mods needed for this conversion other than the motor mounts and moving the trans crossmember?

I didn't have to move the cross member when I put the BB in my Skylark. Yep, tranny bolted right up.

I concur. You'd only have to move the crossmember if you were switching to a Turbo 400.
