    Good Morning, Ron-

If you would like to contribute to this site, this thread should give you all the info you need.

The TA cover can be found here and costs $399.95. If you read about it on that page, you'll see that is is enhanced over stock and should contribute to a longer life for your 455. NOS covers occasionally pop up on Ebay, but they are an arm and a leg. Used covers can be found on Ebay on a regular basis, although as of this post I don't see any there. Examples of completed auctions are here and here. From what I gather, used covers are subject to corrosion in the water passages and may be a cat in the bag. Also, the oil pump area will probably need work on a used cover to assure correct clearances between the pump gears and the backing plate. If you have the money, your best bet is probably the TA cover. You will probably be half the way there $$ wise with a used cover after you've reconditioned it anyway.

    Hope this helps!

i guess if you have the $$$ then a new cover is the way to go, but good used ones arent that hard to find, then after clean up install a new neoprean seal, new gears and a booster plate will give you good oil pressure, if you need more top end presure then get a adjustable regulater from TA, at that you should be around $100 total. (even if you go to a new cover put on the booster plate, its well worth the $20)
