Alright guys, i've got a little task for someone who is willing to do it, can anyone tell me what all is needed in order to do a complete and clean swap of a 455 into my car? I know what you're probably thinking but no I dont have a buick 455 yet but im saving for one and when I find the right one I might go for it, but I need to know what is needed in order to do a swap. Just in case your wondering right now the motor is a 231, transmission is a 3 speed(? not sure if it is a TH/350 but im not sure?), and it is a peg-leg rear(not sure of the gear ratio either?) Any help would be greatly appreciated as im going to save/keep all the info. you give me for future references. TIA

Thanks for the info. george, but that brings up a few more Q's. Does this apply to a 1976 buick century w/ a 231 V6, does the 231 V6 have the same mounts as a 350? Thanks for the info. though it's useful! :)

You will need the frame mounts. I would suggest you buy new engine mounts too. Everything from the 231 will line up with the 455. You will need the 455 ac brkts since the V6 ones will not work. Best bet is to buy a 455 car and remove the engine with all brkts/accessories.

Thanks for the info. George, well appreciated :TU: Not planning on a swap anytime too soon but am planning on it in the very near future for something to do. :beer
