Hi I recently pulled a 455 out of a 76 Buick Lesabre and can't find the specs for the engine anywhere :puzzled: interested in the HP, Torque, and all that good stuff.
does anyone know where to find 'em?

    76 455 made 205hp net at ? and 345ftlbs net at 2000rpm.
In 75/76 the compression height of the pistons were .025" or so less than the previous years so they are .075-.080 in the hole. Also the 75/76 cylinders heads were open chamber (78cc). Not great for performance use.
For performance use an earlier head (less cc's to up the compression and make use of quench, they are closed chamber) and a piston with a higher compression height. Try to get the qeunch (piston to head) .040-.060" if using steel rods.
