I am having problem finding the dims. for a 455 rod. I need the center to center dim. , the rod thk. or bearing width. I believe the large journal is a 2.25" nom. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    from memory..

    Length 6.600
    big end - 2.3740- 2.3745 (no bearing)
Big end with CB 762P-10 bearing (nominal)- 2.2415
    small end- 1.000 (nominal)
Bearing width .920- earlier rods have "squirt holes" for cam oiling.
    Material- Forged Steel
    Rod bolt - ARP 125-6001
    Typical total weight 750 G

with beam polish and good sizing, select rods are good to 500 HP, with cryo treatment 550 HP.

Typically it takes between 10 and 12 rods to get a "select" set, they often are thin on the big end around the bolts, or have the pin end off-center.

Beyond that, use the TA 1633 forged rod, for a drop in replacement. For up to 800 HP.

Various BBC/Pontiac rods will work with crankshaft/big end modifications.

Best Steel rod is the TA 1632 Billet, or 1631 Aluminum. Both good to about 1000+ HP.

    need to know anything else?
